We collect information from you to provide you with health services. For example, we will collect your information when you:
- Visit the Pegasus 24 Hour Surgery for after hours care
- Use one of Pegasus community-based services, such as our primary mental health service, or B4 School Checks
- When another health provider, such as your general practice refers you to a Pegasus service, we will receive information from them.

For billing and administration
We use your information for administration purposes such as billing and Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) referrals.
To improve the health of our communities
As a health organisation, we need to understand our population and how people use health services. We collect and use information to make sure people can access health services, and that community needs are met. The information used to improve the health of our communities will not identify you individually.
For quality improvements, education and research
Information that is used by us to improve our processes and systems, and for education and training will not identify you individually. Information for research will have ethics approval and will not be published in a way that can identify you.
To support general practice
We support general practice in the delivery of health care to patients and improving health outcomes for communities. Information that identifies you will only be used when it is required.
For our business operations
We use certain third party tools and systems as part of our day to day business. We take steps to ensure personal information is protected, including conducting privacy impact assessments. You can find out more about specific third parties we use below:
We use a third party tool called Campaign Monitor to manage some of our newsletters.
Where we do this, any personal information you provide (your email address and name) will also be collected and stored by Campaign Monitor and you should also check their privacy statement (campaignmonitor.com).

We use an online learning management system through the third party Totara Learning Solutions.
Your details are collected and stored to access our Clinical Quality and Education programmes, meetings, workshops, sessions and receive news bulletins. Totara will also hold information and you should also check the Totara privacy statement (totaralearning.com).
The 24 Hour Surgery uses the Stripe payment gateway to comply with the banking rules for online credit card payments. Stripe collects identifying information about the devices that connect to its services, and uses this information to operate and facilitate payments, and improve the services it provides, including for fraud detection.

The 24 Hour Surgery does not hold or store any credit card details.
We have CCTV installed to protect buildings and prevent property damage, to respond to emergency situations and protect the health, safety and wellbeing of all persons at our sites.
CCTV will operate in public spaces and areas, such as car parks, building entranceways, shared pathways and reception areas. Cameras will not operate in areas where persons have an expectation of privacy, such as consult rooms and treatment areas.
