    How to get there
    We are located at 401 Madras Street, Christchurch Central.

    Parking
    You can enter our carpark from Madras Street; turn left just before the lights on Bealey Avenue. We have a drop off area at the front entrance for patients who may require this.

    Public Transport
    You can plan your bus trip from the Journey Planner on the Metro website.

    Accessibility
    We have wheelchair parking and an accessibility ramp. Wheelchairs are available if you need them. We also have an interpreter service available.

You and your whānau (family) can get most health services through your general practice team.

Find a general practice

If you are eligible, enrol to get cheaper health services and support for yourself and your family from your doctor and general practice team. 

Enrolling is free. Ask your general practice receptionist about eligibility. Please bring your passport with your current visa or letter from Immigration New Zealand if you have one. 

Bring any information you have about you and your family members’ health, including vaccinations books and medicines you are taking. 

Health services in New Zealand are confidential. 

These services are available to all enrolled patients: 

  • Free interpreting services in your language – more information below. 
  • Kaitautoko | support workers from the Tautoko Hauora service can help you and your family access health and social support services you need. Only available for those enrolled at a Pegasus Health practice.  
  • Free counselling service with professional interpreters if needed 
  • To find general practices where they speak different languages, use our Health Directory. 
  • To find a pharmacy where they speak different languages, visit the Healthpoint website.

What if I need help finding health care?

Tautoko Hauora can help you: 

  • Enrol at a Pegasus Health general practice.
  • Get you to your doctor/hospital appointments, if transport is a problem for you.
  • Visit Work and Income, if you find it difficult to pay for health care.
  • Find other community services to support you.

You have the right to get a free and confidential professional interpreter for your health appointments. Just ask the receptionist when you book your appointment, or download a language card (healthinfo.org.nz) to help you with this.
